This Policy explains how personal information is handled in connection with original story and screenplay submissions, inquiries and use of the Site. The Site is primarily intended for people in Japan. Although the Company is incorporated in Singapore, this Policy is based on the application of Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (“APPI”). “Personal information” has the meaning given in the APPI.

2. Information We Collect
Through the form, we collect your name, email address, submission type, work title, synopsis and optional work URL. We also record the reference number, submission time, versions of the Terms and this Policy accepted, consent selections and consent time. As needed for review, we process shared works, public portfolios, communications, review history and withdrawal records. We do not store IP addresses or browser information as submission data. Site infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, access times and similar communication data to provide and secure the service. We access such information only when necessary for incident investigation or security. Do not send unnecessary information about third parties or sensitive information.
3. Purposes of Use
We use information to receive and confirm submissions; verify eligibility; review works; communicate about interviews and contracts; answer inquiries; manage consent and response histories; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain and secure systems; comply with law; and handle disputes. Separate prior consent is obtained before using a work for AI training, promotion or publication. DRAMIA news and future program information is sent only to people who select the optional marketing consent.
4. Consent and Withdrawal
The form obtains separate confirmations for the Terms and this Policy. Consent to transfers to parties outside Japan described in Section 6 is expressly included in the Policy consent. Optional fields may be left blank. Contact us to withdraw consent or a submission. We may then be unable to continue review or communication. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing before withdrawal or retention required by law.
5. Sharing and Processing
We do not provide personal data to third parties except when: (1) our submission and review staff process it as necessary; (2) domestic contractors arrange communications or interviews, infrastructure providers store data or send email, or professional advisers such as lawyers assist us, all as processors under the APPI subject to selection, supervision and purpose limitation; (3) data is transferred with a merger, business transfer or other succession; (4) disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect life, health or property where consent is difficult to obtain, or necessary to cooperate with a public authority; or (5) you consent. We do not sell or rent personal information.
6. Overseas Transfers and Processing
We use providers in the United States for Site hosting and email delivery. Under the APPI, we provide the following information. The United States has no comprehensive federal law equivalent to the APPI; personal information is protected through sector-specific federal and state laws. See information published by Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission for details. By checking the Policy consent box, you consent to the transfers described above. Without consent, we cannot accept a submission through the form. The Company is located in Singapore and processes submission information there. Security measures for overseas processing are described in Section 8.

7. Cookies and Access Information
Infrastructure providers may use cookies and similar technology for display, authentication and security. Browser restrictions may affect functionality. We do not use an analytics tool or behavioural advertising on this submission Site. If we introduce analytics or advertising, we will explain it in advance and obtain required consent.
8. Security Measures
We use organizational measures (responsible officer, monitoring and incident reporting); personnel measures (limited authorized staff and training); physical measures (device and media controls); technical measures (limited access, authentication, encryption and unauthorized-access protection); and review the legal environments of Singapore and other countries where data is handled. We will provide specific details, including relevant countries, without delay on request. If a breach occurs, we will investigate, remediate, report to Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission and notify affected people as required.
9. Retention
Submission and review information, including work materials, is deleted within 12 months after the later of review completion or the last communication. Inquiry records are deleted within six months after the later of the final response or close of the call. If a contract is made, information is retained as needed for performance, accounting and legal compliance. Notification emails used by the Company and its contractors to review submissions are deleted within 12 months of receipt. Infrastructure incident logs are kept for up to seven days, and email-delivery records are deleted after 30 days under the service setting. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified. It may be retained only as long as required by law, dispute handling or security.
10. Requests for Access, Correction or Deletion
Under the APPI, you may request notice of purpose, access, correction, addition, deletion, suspension, erasure, cessation of third-party provision and disclosure of third-party provision records. Contact us with the name and email used for submission, your reference number if known, and the request. We verify identity against submission records; representatives must provide authorization documents. No fee is charged. We respond without delay, normally within 30 days. If law prevents action, we will explain why. Requests are accepted in Japanese or English. Complaints may be submitted to the same contact. You may also consult Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission.
11. Minors
We do not accept submissions from minors (Terms, Section 3). We do not intentionally collect their information and will promptly delete it if discovered.
12. Changes to This Policy
We will announce changes and their effective date on the Site. We will obtain renewed consent where law requires it, including certain changes to overseas transfers described in Section 6.
